Three Minutes Eighteen Seconds
A Prophet's Final Message

Imagine for a minute that you receive a phone call from President Monson’s secretary informing you that the prophet would like to meet with you at his office. President Monson has requested a moment of your time because he has something important to tell you. Would you be curious to hear what the prophet wants to say to you? Would you be filled with wonder? Concern? Excitement? Anticipation? Would you consider that his message for you might be extremely significant, perhaps even critical?

“Since the world began, God has raised up prophets who speak the will of heaven to the people of their times. It is our responsibility to listen and then apply the messages the Lord provides for us.”
- Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Let’s explore the profound impact of three “small drops of ink,” as Lord Byron calls them, that are simultaneously extremely powerful words. These seemingly unassuming droplets have the remarkable ability to convey deep emotions, meaningful ideas, and revealing stories with unparalleled potency and depth. Each drop represents a unique narrative waiting to be unfurled, capable of evoking a myriad of emotions within the soul. In their fluidity lies a boundless capacity to inspire change. Lord Byron’s poetic analogy captures the essence of President Monson’s influential language as an indelible force that moves us to think, ponder, and, hopefully, act.
