Enjoy The Manger on the Mantle in Audio!A Christmas Tale Based on Two True StoriesWhat can a small-town country boy do when he becomes spiritually lost in a city like Los Angeles? Can a root beer float really save him?
Mark Spencer's roots were deeply embedded in a charming small town, where life unfolded at a leisurely pace. The warmth of friendly neighbors and the simplicity of nature enveloped his childhood, a comforting blanket against the world's uncertainties. However, the transition to the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles was a stark contrast. Mark found himself adrift in the chaos and anonymity of city life, a far cry from the familiar streets and the comforting embrace of his hometown. |

How 'Corrections' in the Book of Mormon Prove Its Authenticity.
"Don't be fooled by any part of the title, the mistakes help to prove that the Book of Mormon is the word of God."

On the inside cover of his first leather-bound Book of Mormon, my father inscribed a powerful quotation by the prophet Joseph Smith.
“I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.” Directly below this quote, my father had compiled a list of scriptures labeled “Mistakes in the Book of Mormon.” Moroni candidly and apologetically acknowledged: “And if there be faults they be the faults of a man. But behold, we know no fault.” How, then, did my father have the boldness to make his list of ‘mistakes’ in the Book of Mormon? The corrections in the Book of Mormon serve as evidence of its authenticity and truthfulness and they provide insights into the process of creating and inscribing ancient plates. |

"The author asks us to imagine President Monson's last conference address as a three minute interview with the prophet. This context adds additional immediacy to President Monson's message."
